Bosch GLM 100-25 C vs GLM 150 C

The GLM 150 C is worth considering when you need measurements beyond 100 m under suitable conditions: its typical favourable-condition range reaches 150 m, compared with 100 m for the GLM 100-25 C. Both have camera viewfinders, Bluetooth and 2.8-inch IPS colour displays. Both manuals reduce their unfavourable-condition range to 60 m, so choose around the distances and conditions of your work.

What the camera helps you do

Both tools measure distances indoors and outdoors and calculate areas and volumes from readings. The camera viewfinder helps you aim when the red laser spot is difficult to see. It does not remove limits caused by lighting, target surfaces or distance. These are distance measures, rather than tools that project alignment lines.

For both favourable specifications, measure from the front edge to a highly reflective target, such as a white-painted wall, in weak background light at 25°C. Add the distance-dependent ±0.05 mm/m to the base ±1.5 mm figure.

[1] [3]

For the GLM 100-25 C’s unfavourable specification, its English manual uses the front edge, a highly reflective target, strong background light, 25°C and high altitude. The GLM 150 C’s unfavourable footnote specifies the front edge, high target reflectivity and strong background light, without separately repeating temperature or altitude. In each case, add ±0.15 mm/m to the base ±3.0 mm figure.

[1] [3]

The 0.5 mm display increment is separate from measurement accuracy. Both offer incline measurement through 0°–360°; the ±0.2° angular accuracy applies at 25°C after calibration at 0° and 90°, with an additional ±0.01° per degree up to 45°. The GLM 150 C labels its accuracy typical. Follow the manual’s reference-surface and calibration instructions.

GLM 100-25 C questions

When is the GLM 100-25 C the right choice?

Consider it when your work fits its conditional 100 m range and you want a camera viewfinder, incline functions and Bluetooth measurement transfer. Its unfavourable-condition range is 60 m. A clear view through the camera does not guarantee a valid reading at the maximum distance.

[1] [2] [4]

Does it have the same camera specification as the GLM 150 C?

Bosch documents a digital viewfinder with zoom for the GLM 100-25 C. The GLM 150 C’s 5 MP and three-stage zoom figures should not be applied to it. A missing comparable camera figure does not establish poorer image quality.

[4] [1] [2]

Can the GLM 100-25 C use rechargeable AA cells?

Yes. Its manual recommends alkaline-manganese or NiMH rechargeable AA cells, using a matching set. This does not mean the tool charges cells internally or includes a charger. Confirm the actual supplied cells before buying.

GLM 150 C questions

What is the GLM 150 C’s maximum range?

Bosch’s exact technical data gives a typical 0.08–150 m range under favourable conditions. Under its stated unfavourable conditions, the range is 0.08–60 m. Use the conditions above and the exact manual when planning longer measurements.

[3]

What camera specification does Bosch list?

The 2026 India catalogue lists an integrated 5 MP camera and three-stage zoom for the GLM 150 C. Three-stage zoom is not a claim of 3× optical magnification, and does not establish photo-export capability.

[2]

Does the GLM 150 C have USB charging?

The GLM 150 C uses three AA cells; its battery instructions recommend alkaline cells. Do not buy it expecting built-in Li-ion or USB charging. Check features for this exact model rather than the different GLM 150-27 C.

[5] [3]

Bluetooth and app compatibility

Bosch’s GLM 100-25 C India page names MeasureOn, and the 2026 India catalogue also names MeasureOn for the GLM 150 C. Older GLM 150 C material still refers to Measuring Master and early mobile devices. Check your actual phone or tablet, operating system, GATT support and current app requirements before relying on wireless transfer.

[4] [5] [1] [3] [2] [7]

Pair inside MeasureOn and select the correct tool serial number. Free and paid plans have different features, so check any cloud or export function you need. Bosch says old Measuring Master and PLR measure&go records do not transfer directly to MeasureOn; export older records as PDF if you need to retain them.

[7] [1] [3]

Using either model well

Both support room dimensions, areas, volumes, wall-area calculations, stake-out and indirect height or length measurements, plus a timer and fold-out stop pin. Prefer direct measurements where practical. Indirect calculations require the manual’s geometry and are generally less accurate. Choose the correct reference edge, stop pin or tripod centre before taking a reading.

[1] [3]

Hold the tool still with the lens, laser outlet and camera clear. Allow it to acclimatise after temperature changes. Check distance, incline and viewfinder alignment regularly and after impacts. Glass, reflective or textured surfaces, sloping targets and temperature gradients can affect readings.

[1] [3]

Both have IP54 dust-and-splash protection. Avoid drops and never immerse either tool. Replace the complete AA set together with correct polarity and matching manufacturer and capacity, and remove cells for prolonged storage.

[1] [3]

Accessories and safety

Both manuals name BT 150 tripod 0601096B00 for the 1/4-inch mount, passive target plate 2607001391 and red laser-viewing glasses 1608M0005B. Match the exact article and interface before buying; these references do not establish what is included with the tool. Set the tripod reference when using a tripod. The viewing glasses aid visibility but do not protect against laser radiation.

[1] [3]

Read the exact manual and keep the warning label legible. Never point the beam at people or animals or look into direct or reflected beams. If it reaches your eyes, close them and turn away. Switch off after use, do not leave an active tool unattended and supervise children. Avoid explosive environments. The GLM 100-25 C manual also warns against photographing people or animals and against damaged display glass.

[1] [3]

Observe Bluetooth restrictions around medical devices, petrol stations, aircraft and blasting areas. Keep magnetic accessories away from implants as directed in the manual.

[1] [3]

Before you choose

Is the GLM 150 C more accurate?

Its longer favourable-condition range does not establish an accuracy advantage. Both publish the same base distance figures and distance-dependent additions, with the model-specific conditions above.

[1] [3]

What comes with the tools?

Bosch’s India product pages list three AA cells, a pouch and a certificate for both orders, with a hand strap also listed for the GLM 150 C. Check the actual included-items list for the Etool option you buy, since catalogue and product-page supply wording differ.
